Hiking, railway museum and poutine!!

The days in St John's have merged into one really. It's so laid back here. I hired a car and had a little drive down the coat in the cold rain and wind. Visited Avalon which was the first official English settlement in North America. Having stood on the dock in Plymouth where the settlers would have set sail from four hundred odd years ago and then stood on the beach in the bay where they landed there was a nice bit of something or other going on. Don't know what the words are for it but it was, you know.....that!

There was a funny little railway museum in St John's with the most rubbish mannequins ever! Evidence attached below.

Lastly, no visit to Canada is complete without a box of poutine. Not sure how it's spelt but it's a Quebequoise delicacy of chips with gravy and cheese. Just to push my comfort zone further I added ground beef, bacon and more cheese!! It was disgusting! Picture attached!
